Thought I'd put a few of my favorites up to show. The top one is a Mora carbon blade, I got a long one and cut it down so I could have a bit more width to the blade. The handles are garrolite (G-11 I think, supposed to be a step up from g-10???) They orange is g-10, hidden pins and the tang is mortised in . My first one like this. The photo is misleading , cause the blade is not longer than the handle.

Next is my Enzo, well used and loved, all though I have been thinking of convexing it lightly. Hot vinegar patina on the flats. Oops, pic was before patina...Sorry. 0-1, true scandi.

Bottom knife is a reg laminated Mora blade I made into a drop point. Koa handle with a lot of Danish oil, a lot!

Anyway, I use these knives a lot, maybe less now that I have a micarta handled Fallkniven F-1 on the way, but I'm sure there's still room in the bag for another knife.

Here's a quickie I did a while back, I got a really wide old band saw blade and made a Nessy. Not too much polish and shine on this one, I made it for the wife, for a small camp knife. Knowing it would get a lot of use and charachter marks anyway. But she stole my Benchmade Activator instead. She has done this more than once! But if I get her one, I can buy another one, right??

Those look great man, great work! I'd be happy to have one of those on my belt. I'm not normally a G-10 (ish) fan, but that top fellow looks quite comfy.

Those are great ,sweet custom work. I may have to do some mora modding this winter.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Sketchbag, I just cut out and then sanded it to the shape I wanted. Then glue and pinned it together. Then more sanding. til it fit my hand just right.

Thanks Guys, Untamed, I made that Nessy as a proto to see if I should make a run of ones (with a bit higher degree of finish), but there are so many folks that make them now I don't know if I should try to jump in with them too. I don't want to step on any ones toes. So I'm gonna try to come up with something else. BTW that Nessy is about 8 in total length. I like it because it's light and still big enough to really work with. It's pretty thin stock, like 3/32 but I've done everything but baton with it. I'll probably eventually try that. Just to see how much I can beat it and it survive. But it whittles pretty good and makes an awesome slicer.

I like the nessie too. I prefer them a bit thicker though. I don't have one at this time but looking...always looking...

I'm gonna make some thicker ones too , sooner or later. Got some health issues right now waiting on surgery and then I'll start working on them. I'll post one when I get em done. This was the thickness I had on hand and it was to be the wifes camp knife so I thought it'd be a better slicer. It's stiff, has no noticeable flex either. Bu I do prefer about a 1/8 at least or really 5/32 .

Let me ask you all something. Do you prefer that blade shape, where it comes down and forms it's own guard or the other style with no guards, so to speak? I like both and may make both. Who knows, lol?

Yep, I ground both Moras to drop points. Talk about a PETA! Try doing scandi grind free hand. I got them close with the grinder , then finished them on a stone. Gotta make a jig! Thanks for the compliments .
