Unless I miss my guess, the circular arrangement of those axe heads in the heat treating rack, will allow them to differentially harden the heads. Very cool. :thumbup:
 
Well... the circular racks are for the heattreated axe heads to cool off. But you´re right about that they only harden the edge (and a bit more) and not the whole axe head.
