A True Find for Handle Hardware

I wanted to pass along a true find. I use a lot of “Loveless style bolts” with the nuts (offsets) at a ¼” o.d.. I have been searching for a supplier of mild steel offsets so that I could cold blue them after finish work. Well, the suppliers’ prices ranged from 1.85 to 2 bucks PER FREAKING SCREW and that was for a minimum order of 500 pieces! After encouraging each of them to have their heads examined I had all but given up the search. Well, a couple of days ago I was placing an order with Jeff Petzke @ Jephco (I buy warwood and liner material from him) and I told him about my woes. He informed me that he also made (as in MAKE, not just a dang middle man) handle fasteners. He told me to give him a little while and he would see what he could do for me. When he called me back I nearly “fell out”! Jeff said that he could sell me the ¼” od nuts (offsets) for $0.40 for 500 or $.0.55 for 250. THAT IS LIKE A FOURTH OF WHAT THE OTHER COMPANIES WANTED! After getting him to repeat the price he quoted me (a couple of times) I ordered 500 and ended up ordering some of his other handle hardware as well while I was at it (those were at a great price too). I offered him a big lickery kiss too but he declined (it must be my mustache). Well, if you’re looking for hardware you may want to give Jeff a shout (254-423-4148). I know he sure helped me out.

I use Loveless bolts quite a bit too and I am very happy with Jeff's Loveless and the Corbys he makes too!
