No work today gave me plenty of time to spend in the woods.

In the morning I hiked to a hidden lean-to, built a fire and enjoyed the morning sunlight.

After lunch I headed out to a different spot.

Back on the trail a spotted what the coyotes where having for lunch and saw some hairy scat with little bones in it.

I headed down to the River’s Edge and built another little fire as the sun set over the ridge.

The dogs and I got back to the trail-head just as darkness settled in.

All in all it was a great day.

I highly recommend a day in the woods as a cure for what ails ya.

Looks like a great day Mike, well except I think that deer would disagree;)

Looks like the Turkey Vultures or crows got to that carcass also being the eyes are pecked out. Nasty...

Good little spot you got there Mike ... looks like a nice place to get away to

Did you build the lean-to ?

Did you build the lean-to ?

We built that lean-to back in the end of the last millennium. :)

There had been some logging in the area, and we used a bunch of Hemlocks that has been knocked down be the heavy equipment.

The main structure is still in pretty good shape.

Few people know its location.
