A Very Cool D-Guard

skunk,

those are awesome!

Do they fit only the ash and mistress due to the length of the D guard, or is it that the links won't fit other Busses??

and have pics coming for you as promised;)

This is pretty cool. It's one of those, "why didn't I think of that" idea's. Very impressive.

P.S. From the mashed cat website, what other colours do the sheaths come in?

If used on a battle mistress will it still fit in the kydex sheath. Or is modification necessary to the sheath.

I made a filing with the patent office this morning. You know where to send my royalties.

I had a similar idea for a removable D-guard only the links came off a different way, maybe I should look into it again. I'll call it "Porkducci's link sausage"!

Had some sun in the M.C. Territory and snapped a few shots, heres one that actually turned out only half bad:o

got mine, but how the heck do i put em on?

how do i separate the thing on the ends of the thing?

So how's the retention of c clips? Any possibility of having it all come apart? And is it possible to get a tan guard with a yellow or orange lanyard?

9 days and no response to this. Anyone got any answers? Also, I'd really appreciate it if someone could post a picture of one of these guards on an FBMLE. Thanks, people.

it has a split link on one side, like a repair link. i'll get a pic of the other side.
you can polish or double cut the link if you like or even blue it. as it is now it matches the competition grades perfectly.
.
it has a "split link" on one side, a clip, looks like a bobbypin. you slide it off, use a screw driver, a device to screw screws in, one with a flat side, pry or push the "split link" off. then reinstall on d-guard and you'll be ready to go parnelle

see the link, looky close, it's the "split link"

The retention is very good, you must use either a pair of standard pliers or needle nose pliers to remove the C-clip, both have worked well for me. Remember that this connecting link is designed for a motorcycle! You can see some pictures of this D-Guard at

http://www.mashedcat.com/accessories.htm

And heres a few more of the new Removable Cobra D-Guard

Some slight mod may be needed at the talon hole to widen for the link. Very simple and straight forward. Should be able to do it with a hair dryer.

I know the Hell Razor is not listed on the site but could any one tell me if this would fit on one?

Sorry for the bad picture :o and the answer is yes, it does fit. My hand has no problems, I wear a large to extra large glove if that helps?

i saw the split link, but didnt want to pry it off without checking to see if that was the proper method.

the thing that screws screws works well?

GrandSuave...just ordered one in tan through your website, but I didn't see any option to add a lanyard to it Could you please do so for me? If you need to, PM or Email me so I can tell you what my PP addy was just for your info. Thanks.

IGM, the lanyard that you see in the picture is part of the D-Guard. They are basically tails after the tie-off, that we left so the user could trim them if they didn't like them that long or leave if the did like them.
