Here's a bowie I just finished. I wanted to make at least one bowie for my first knife show coming up in March. I wanted something clean and simple so here is what I came up with. The blade is 8" long, 1084 steel, walnut handle. What do you guys think? Thanks for looking.

I've recently become obsessed with Bowie knives after watching the movie Alamo with Dennis Quaid and Billy Bob Thorton.

If I saw this at a knife show, I would have to buy it.

It's perfect.

That is one of the most beautiful bowies I have ever seen. In my world simple is always better.

Thanks you guys! I really appreciate all the kind words. I finally decided to do my first ever knife show this March. I've been making knives full time since 2006 so I figured it was about time for me to do a show!

Ray,

I've been a fan of all your knives for many years ..... always wondered what would happen when you made one with a Big Blade.

Stunning, simply Stunning !!!!!!

Cheers,

Carl

Huh. I see nothing out of the ordinary, there. Let's take a closer look - Pleasing lines and dimensions; check. Perfectly executed grinds; check. Quality materials; check. Beautiful selection of wood for handle; check. There is (or will be) no doubt a very well made and attractive sheath.

So, nothing different than the typical Laconico custom knife!

Very nice work, Ray!
