I know there is already a thread for Christmas Beckers but I had to do this one as a stand alone. Hope you all will agree.

Our younger son was a Kiowa pilot and, sadly, was killed in Iraq 26 January 2009. Yesterday our older son Psyop gave me a BK 2 for Christmas. But what was really special were the grips, handmade by OREGON FAL'ER from material taken from one of our younger son's flight suits. Hope you will agree that the work is beautiful and the sentiment is not to be forgotten:

Thanks for you beautiful work OREGON FAL'ER and for a great gift from Psyop and his wife.

Wow, that's deep. Sorry for your son. That's a great knife you got there, I don't think there are many knives that have such a high sentimental value even though they are brand new.

Wow, that is incredible. This definitely deserves a thread of it's own.

Very cool, Psyop is a good guy around these parts....

Congrats on the excellent blade

Dare I use the knife?? I guess I will, gently; if I have some rough work to do I'll find another blade...

I'd like to thank you and your family, for the sacrifices you have made so we may enjoy the freedom that we have.
God Bless & Take Care

Wow! Just wow...
I'm blown away by this, such a strong gesture of kindness and remembrance. What a wonderful holiday gesture.

I'm so sorry for your loss, but the idea of making the scales from your son's uniform is a great one. Something to treasure for life.

I just retired last year after 40 years with the Army. Twelve years active duty as a Signal Officer and 28 years as an Army Civilian. Here at Fort Hood the last few days have been celebrations as the last of our troops fly home from Iraq. I wish your son could have been one of them. I salute you all.

Wow. Talk about "personalizing" a factory knife.

It doesn't get much more personal than that.

I am sorry for your loss, and thank you for your son's sacrifice...

My prayers are with you and your family for your never ending loss, and this thread, this blade truly strikes at the strings in my heart...a blade and grips to remain forever...

I'm sorry for your loss, and congratulate you on a wonder family heirloom that is truly one of a kind. Psyop really came thru.
