This package has made me smile three times:

First, when I unwrapped it in my studio. It's got inescapable beauty.
Second, when I talked to John and he relayed the underlying story.
Thirdly, when he and Jennifer sent me a note telling me how much they liked the image.

Lastly (I guess the smiles never end...!) reading the comments in this post. All deserving.

John, thank YOU! What a great knife!

I absolutely love the knife and the story behind it even more. Thanks for sharing your work and happiness with us John.
Please pass the congratulations along to your wife for me.

Truly a Beautiful Knife! ''Love the inlay-layout on the handle, the coin-textured ferrule and nice overall shape of the knife.

Wonderful hamon too.

a really special one for sure.

Congratulations on such a fine creation.

Thank you all for the feedback on the knife and all the well wishes. We're very happy to see all of that.

Looks great. How did you keep the white G10 clean after sanding the black carbon fiber?

I was concerned about that before I started the project but It really wasn't much of an issue. The handle is sanded to 1000 grit and what little black residue there was came off easily with wd-40

Very nice John! Are you back in town now?

Thanks Mike. Yep back in town now. I think we're only about 2 miles from each other. Look me up anytime.

I've got a cool idea for the sheath but haven't made it up yet.

Thanks again everyone. :)

Very nicely done mate. I like the white G10 and the contrasts with the rest of the blade fittings. Congrats on the knife and on the wife. Happiness to you both.
Cheers Keith

Had to bring this back up since my 'ol laptop is cooperating today and letting me post...

I love this entire post John!!! The knife and the story behind it are fan-frick'n-tastic! :D

It hits extra close to home for me, since as you know, Angi and I tied the knot this summer too.

You have definitely gotten to the level of excruciatingly clean work John!  :)

Congratulations again! :)

Thanks guys.

Nick, thanks for taking the time to post on this. It means a lot to me, especially coming from the king of "excruciatingly clean." :)

I wish you and Angi all the best too.
