Native by Montejano
Hello!!
I received a set of new pictures taken by Mr Montejano, from Spain.
I would like to share some of these pictures of a new SS Native, decorated by this noted Spanish engraver Antonio Montejano. This knife was commisioned by a well known European collector, and I think he will surely enjoy his new Spyder when he receives it in a few days.
A project of this type is born with an artist inspiration and some fine drawings of the intended design.

The design is then transferred to the knife, masking the piece and drawing on the metal with a finely pointed instrument.

Much of this paintaking work, is done using a high magnifying microscope. A steady hand, and skillful craftmanship, together with Big patience and creativity, make the rest.

The drawing previously made by the artist guides his working on the piece.

The time consuming procedure, subjecting the steel surface to acid in different dilutions, temperatures, and times, regulate the desired final effect. The results are rewarding when we can see the finished piece.

Detail of blade design. A difficult task indeed, to achieve this results!

Detail of handle

An overall view of the final piece.

Congratulations to the artist, Mr Montejano, and to the happy new owner of this little marvel!!
Hope you enjoy these pictures, best regards, Abel
