Really warty. You won't need a back up? Or one with a wood handle? Not one of both horn and wood that are carved? Or...?

Yes, it is a popular model among competitors (with variations on the handle, I would love a hand guard, for example).

Perhaps those were made by Santosh's friend even!

maybe a rounded choil instead of the sharp angles in front of the handle...
 
That's very nice, I like the lines quite a bit though I'm not sold on that sharp corner on the ricasso. Glad to hear Pala's surgery went well!
