A video you guys might like.

wow. thats a hell of a sword. how do i get a job there? i want to smite 55 gallon drums for a living haha. looks like i have a long way to go and allot of equipment to buy before im satisfied.

Thats pretty neat, but I'd like to see one of those guys hammer one out and see if they can make it look the same :D They seem to have pretty good fit and finish still, but thats a lot easier with perfectly milled pieces too.

As a guy who runs a CNC router cutting parts out all day, I have alot more appreciation for a piece done by hand. I'm not saying you have to go neo-tribal, I just hate to see automation pushing craftsmanship into obsoletion.

One of the master swordmakers there is Jodi Samson. He made the Conan sword and any number of other movie-famous pieces by hand so they have that experience there, too, in addition to the machining capabilites.

I'm one of those weirdos that actually watches How It's Made regularly....I'll tell ya', I like the hand method much more, but with that one, you can really crank out the blades!
