That's military "100 mph" tape. Great stuff! You can get it from most military gear suppliers (US Cavalry, Brigade Quartermasters, etc.) I get mine in the mail from The Sportsman's Guide catalog. I don't remember the price.

Mike, I was not sure what the tape was called but it was strong stuff! The rolls we used to get were a deep red. Is it still the same color?

Kurdy, I'll test it here -- takes only five minutes so all you have to do is use it. Somewhere I posted a thead on how I test HI khukuris -- not all as I don't have the time or strength but I do spot test some just to keep the kamis on their toes.
