My wife and I decided to drive up to Mount Shasta yesterday afternoon. It was sort of on a whim, but also with the intent to buy several acres for a future home site. We found a nice parcel, which met our requirements: several acres in size, an excellent view of Mount Shasta (it is due east from the property), and a good location. We made an offer, and hope to hear back this coming week. We plan to build in a few years.

Anyway, below is a photo of Mount Shasta taken from the property:

It is so darn tall, almost 15,000 feet, that it is visible up to 150 miles away. Stunning and breathtaking are good words to describe Mount Shasta. It was gorgeous last night, after we arrived, in the moonlight with its snow cap.

What you see in the foreground is Interstate 5 and the northern edge of Weed.

SWEET view!!! Good luck with the purchase. :D:thumbup::thumbup:

Cool view!!!

Best of luck with the property... that would be an awesome view to enjoy every day. :)

SOMEDAY when I win the lottery, I will live in such a place :(

not because its expensive to live there or anything, I just doubt that I could find work with my resume to live there...

That is a absolutely beautiful pic of Mt. Shasta Ken :thumbup:

Your almost there Ken, just another 50 miles away and youll be in a free state and youll still be able to see Shasta.

LUNDE!!!!

That is where I go ride bicycles once or twice a year.

Be sure to tell everyone how badly it sucks up there. I don't want to be driving to another San Jose:grumpy: :thumbdn: in five years.

As nice as that looks .... go west from there young man, go west!!! :D

wow, that is an amazing view!

I hope I'm online when you start selling busses to fund the purchase :p

Hope the offer is accepted, that would be an incredible place to live

The only thing I know about the area is the mosquitos will eat you alive if you are in the wrong spot.
