A walk in the woods.

I'm not too good at estimating distance but I'd guess we were about 30m away from the deer.
We saw three lots that day so there are still plenty out and about around here !
The elevation was very low !!!
 
I finally got a chance to take a little walk. Here are a few pics.

Fantastic photos pit man! I love Vancouver Island.

Maybe that's an eagle in that pic? I know there's quite a few on the island. It's a good photo though...looks like something out of 'Harry Potter' or 'Lord of the Rings'. Very cool!
 
Thanks, I stayed at the Campbell river area for about a week and fell in love with the place. Especially Elk Falls, beautiful place with huge trees, trails that go on and on. I really loved the place.
 
Magneto I'm a little confused,I had thought these were from your neck of the woods,ie : Deming,WA !
Did you visit Van Island or do you now live here ?

They are. Sorry for the confusion. My fingers are way slower than my brain and I either get ahead of myself or leave something out. Or both.:o

Just visited, and it was several year ago when I did. I still live here. (ie: Deming, WA)
 
Went for another walk today but left Pitman Jr at home.
as you can see the weather was lousy !!!

Not the best weather but it gave my new hiking boots a test and helped break them in a little !!!:D
