A walk on immaculate snow and the magic of a sun rise...

Restoring old buildings ? My grandparents bought this house when I was very young . A great 'get away from the city' place but we also were expected to do some work of restoration. Later in life I really appreciated the education ! We were going to remove everything and start from scratch. But the structure was very sound despite being a 'shack'. Learning the basics of wood working, stone, concrete etc. That all was very useful later. By the time I was 12 I installed a cedar shingle roof !
Play time ? learned to swim ,canoe , shoot , etc. When I look at Herlock's abandoned stone buildings I think 'what an opportunity' ! :)
