A Wave user's woes. Worn out pockets.

Just don't wear pants. Of course that brings up a whole other set of problems.

I think it's far more the handle scales than the wave. At least in my case. I just took the clip off and sanded that scale down a little and it was much better.

However, you have such nice knives, don't do that. Just buy more pants. Especially if your pants were the price you say they were, and they last as long as you say they did?

Pssshhhh. Just buy some more pants and enjoy that bangin' knife collection dude!

I tried it, waving becomes, shall we say uncomfortable.
I wear these from LA Police Gear, other than the stitched logo on the pocket they are perfect. I've had mine for about a year and a half now and mine are just starting to wear to the point where they no longer work for casual wear (fading, paint stains, torn velcro on drop pocket).

ROLFLMAO!!!!!

Time to make some denim micarta

That's not a bad idea at all!

I know.:) Sadly, some of those jeans I have owned lasted only half a year due to sharp edges on the Wave hook. Could have filed the edges down but they hook really well with sharp edges. A little tight on funds as I bought a Roadhouse last week and patiently waiting for it to arrive.

LOL! Those pants look pretty nice. I have looked at some from a couple other companies too but am so hooked on denim. Haven't tried any canvas pants yet.

These pants* are two days old and I only waved them once:

*(Actually very old pants destroyed by other knives. Home project pants now) :D

You're best bet is to get rid of the Emerson's. Go ahead and send them my way, heck, I'll give you a pair of pants for them;)

You know I probably tried every brand of jeans out there, stopped looking when I found Carhartt jeans and pants; every seam is triple sown and every joint reinforced, YKK zippers, etc, they have some new model pants with extra cordura reinforced right front pockets, especially made for carrying a knife; they're pricey but worth every penny. I have some that are at least 7 years old and still going strong. Of course I haven't worked as I used to because I broke my back, but they last a long time.

Of course not everyone likes to wear canvas, but they are strong, just my two cents.

^^Thanks! I'll take at look at what they have.:)

You're welcome bro, those on the bottom pic are actually ripstop fabric, and kind of light, but they also have some flannel lined jeans if you live where it gets cold; I wear them when I have to use the motorcycle and it's cold outside. Good luck.

I know 5.11 make pants with extra material patched on the pocket for pocket knives...I'm sure you can do this to any pair of pants with some extra material.

I prefer slacks, khaki and canvas over jean and it seems to hold up well, I might try a pair of those 5.11 for outdoor use like hiking, biking...etc etc just to see how they hold up.
