A Well made Knife as Fidget object for stress relief.

A selective form of fidgeting/stress relief:
Trying to refine the edge of an already sharp knife *just a little bit more*, then reducing the weekly mail flyers & freebie real estate/car ad mags from grocery store lobby racks into paper ribbons with clean as possible edges. Standing over a wastepaper basket slowly sliding an edge into & through newsprint over & over again can be its own form of zen mesmerization.

And yes, I've spent way too many hours of my life doing this. Perfection is pursued, never achieved. Unless someone is trying to sell you something. 😉

Don’t fidget to much..

For sure!

I don’t really play with my folders, but I fidget with at least one of my fixed blades every evening, usually with some whiskey and a beer.

These pictures remind me of an old Stapleton song from when he played with the Steel Drivers:
Guitars, whiskey, guns and knives
Three's a crowd, one more's a fight
Four good ways to wreck your life
Guitars, whiskey, guns and knives

It's great because it's also a useful tool, not just a fidget spinner taking up pocket space.

Flipping and or flicking a knife has done wonders for my anxiety ADHD and other mental issues I have. It's both the feel and the sound.

This is currently my favorite (and will probably remain so).

Knives are tools made for cutting things.

Can’t stand this Instagram EDC trinket culture that has emerged.
Well in that I don't do social media I wouldn't know, but I've been using my knives to fidget with for a good 15 years. Knives have just gotten more fidget friendly in that time.

I guess going to the shooting range to blow off steam is also some newfangled internet trend.

I've been fidgeting with knives since I was a Cub Scout and received a Boy Scout slip joint knife from my dad. Stay out of my blood circle y'all!

Sometimes it’s a blessing in disguise to get a knife with a little bit of lock stick ….

When family, friends or co workers get annoyed with the sound I say “sorry mang, gotta work out this lock stick somehow” 😂

Good excuse right?!?
Plus, then they look like the crazy person if they don’t understand what you’re even talking about

At home I like to open/close my new sebenzas. Feel the quality action n lockup and also feel them getting smoother each day as they break in.

Not as funky trix stealthy as a flipper or a compression lock, but yes I get my fidget and stress relief covered.
