Today in the break room I heard a colleague saying something to someone about Cold Steel. I asked him if he was interested in knives and told him I was too. I showed him my "white collar" work edc, a GEC Barlow in buffalo horn, and we had a nice long talk about our various knives. This is so cool! Other than in cyberspace, I never talk to fellow knife knuts! Tomorrow, I'll turn him onto BF.

And then you'll both get no work done :D

My business partner and I are both too interested in knives. I assure you, it's not a good thing. The LAST thing I need when it comes to knife ... anything .... is encouragement.

Fortunately our jobs are such that we have a pretty regimented day; there is mutual free time for us only during lunch or at the end of the day.

Thats pretty cool, I'v never met anyone who loves knives- aside from my one buddy who turned me to the site

I've got another knife knut in the neighborhood.
He's also a super moderator here. :)

Three of my mates are now knife nuts. I think their wives would have preferred I had got them on to heroin..

Well a friend of mine is really into martial arts and has a few nice knives. I turned into a knife knut and turned him into a knife knut.

Well it was only a matter of time before a gun nut like me turned into a knife knut.

I've got a girl in my life that wants to go to her first knife show (Apr 18-19 Santa Barbra, CA). Truth be told its my first knife show too. She said she might come home with a knife or two if they take credit card. :D

Much better than the ex who was pissed to no end at the time I spend on BF

It would be kind of ironic if tommorow, he tries to introduce you to: "this great site on the net, it's called bladeforums!":p

I consider myself lucky in this sense. I am working for fairly small (about 70 people) company. In addition to me, at least three people love knives, one of them is Spyderholic as well. About 10 people carry knives.

The company that I just got laid off from in January was a "no knife" place. They told us at orientation that we could have small knives and multi-tools. First day in the office, there is my leadman sharpening a 4.0 bladed automatic!
So I ask him, whats up with the orientation thing? He says don't worry about it, everyone here has a big knife on them. They could hardly do their job with a small one.
So much for company orientations. From that day forth him and I talked about knives every chance we got. Because his wife did not like him buying knives, I ordered them for him, had them delivered to my house, and gave them to him next day. Of course he paid for them in advance. But as my leadman, I could do no wrong in his book.:D

Hmm, didn't know there was a knife show up in SB. I might have to make the trip up there from Simi Valley :)

I work construction and talk about my favorite hobby and I get looks from guys that can't believe I would spend my money on knives. I guess it's tough when everyone just carries a cheap razor knife. I carry my razor knife, but don't use it nearly as much as whatever knife is clipped to my pocket on any given day. I can't believe that I haven't found one other knife guy in my trade. It angers me.

The only person I work with who is even slightly interested in knives is my dad. And of course, everyone else knows who to come to when they need a knife. Although, I will NEVER let them use it on their own after someone broke my buck 110. However, there are times I will throw a junker in the pocket incase they need one =/. I recently told them all to buy the breacher bars from Countycomm and sharpen them. Pry bar or a knive. Just what they need =/
