A workin' man's Clinch Pick

I’ve got 2 Clinch Picks and a trainer, and I have not found anything similar for less $$$. The biggest advantage of the Clinch Pick isn’t the unique blade design, it’s the:

- size (no bigger than it needs to be)
- sheath design (mini Tek-Lok allows adjusting the horizontal orientation so that you can draw it with either hand from a position close to your belt buckle)
- handle design (allows the knife to be gripped securely in either edge-in hammer grip or edge-in icepick grip, so you have an effective grip no matter which hand you draw with)

I also have a Jeff Hall custom Arch Ally that works almost as well as the Clinch Pick and is about the same size, but isn’t any less expensive. Most production fixed blades are too big, or else they don’t have a Kydex sheath with Tek-Lok to let you fine-tune the handle orientation (although you can mount a Tek-Lok on most Kydex sheath), or else the handle doesn’t feel right in more than one grip.

If you find a cheaper alternative, let me know, but I think the Clinch Pick is worth the $$$.

Exactly, that's why I love the Clinch Pick's design: perfect size and handle shape, but I simply cannot justify spending $170 dollars on a six inch piece of steel.
