Whoever they are ... I just hate them because they are cheating and lying! The worst part of their cheating and lying is thet they do it right in front of our faces! I guess they must be a bunch of peoples with no shame at all!

What make me heartbroken is that they might use the same HI Logo in Devanagari plus the Kamis signitures such as Crescent (i.e. Bura) or Cross (i.e. Sonu) or Star of David (i.e. Kumar ... I guess) etc! Their junks with those markings might cause confusion to non HI Khuk nuts in future! I don't like the idea of somebody 20 or 30 years fr now bringing their junks to my sons or grandsons with claims that their junks are made by HI Bura or HI Kumar!

Don't tell me there isn't any clause in Nepal's company law to guard the right of a company's name, logo, markings etc?

I may be wrong but Nepalese lawyers are probably even more untrustworthy & money grabbing than American ones.

Unfortuanatly "Might is right" in most 3rd world countries.{& a lot of others}

Give them a visit! old school style! {Imho}

did you know my Super Salyan with the 3/4" thick spine finally convinced me it's name is "Fat Man"? As in the movie "Fat Man and Little Boy"?

( Apologies to our Japanese forumites. )

Anyway, a true 20" hand-and-a-half khuk for some people, like John Wayne maybe, but for me at 5'4", it's definitely a two-hander.

Rusty, I remember it well. I handled it at the convention in March. Waaaay too big for me. It certainly is a monster!

About my Avatar. Back in 57 we wore a 'Manhattan Project' patch on our uniform, until it was decided advertising wasn't such a good thing. Sure wish I had it now for historical purposes. I don't remember what I did with it when we removed it from our uniforms.

That's the way it's done in Nepal. I'm not worried about it. I'm surprised they didn't sign off as "Uncle Bill!"

Hey guys, am I missing something, or have they changed their page? I went to see what was going on and I couldn't find referance to khuks. Made they made good after being bad.

is a form of flattery. I prefer to think of HI as the pioneer, showing the way that commerce can breach oceans with technology, and the much needed US greenback can make a difference in Nepal.

I just hope that they are as scrupulous and principled as HI when it comes to getting the cash to the kamis. I'd hate to think they were marking up khuks and stilll paying a slave wage to the craftsmen.

And there's always we loyal HI customers, who laugh at the competition while brandishing our YCSs, or whatever HI product is close at hand for the brandishing.:)

Somebody call these operations. I bet they would not make some of the special runs that HI has, like the YCS, the HI Falcatta, The AK Bowie, the Tiger Killer knives, the Movie Model, The Pen Knife, the Foxy Fighter, the HI seax, the Cherokee Rose, etc.

Also their lines of communication are not as open as HI. Here you can chat with the folk who make HI happen. What other op has a descendent of the O-Kami (Pala) working to fill orders and classify blems?

(O-Kami= THE Kami, honorary title I made up like "O-Sensei")

I sent a message to this site - just kindly asking them about the usage of text and such. I got back a message, from which it seems that we shouldn't worry about the site, as the ones who commissioned it defaulted on their payment to their webdesigner, who now 'owns' the site. He says he simply made the site from the materials they sent to him.
