A2 heat treat

Ok I sure its around here some where anybody have info on heat treat/tempering/RC scale on A2 came into a 16x1 3/4x3/16 piece yesterday. A very Nice friend gave it to me. Time to make a blade. Oh yeah a piece of O1 as well but I have heat treat specs on O1. Thanks

or you can go to crucible service centers .com or you can do the following:

Austenitize @ 1775 degrees F -holding time at temp 30 -45 minutes
Quench in air - forced air
double temper @ 500 degrees F two hours per temper
You should get 59/60 HRc and maximum toughness with this HT procedure
