here is what i need in either a2 or d2

3/8 thick 4 inches wide 36 inches long......

i looked on mcmasters and it would be 210 bucks for the a2 anyone know where i can get a better deal

It seems like flatgrinder.com used to have a good deal. I couldn't find them the last time I looked for them.

MSC, grainger, mcmaster, enco, metals depo is too pricy.

I recently got a really great deal on quite a bit of D2 (aristocrat electric arc, vacuum remelted or some such something, mete?) from SRI, a local steel distributor. Find your local steel distributor...
