• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Which one of these steels do you guys prefer? I'm ordering a custom knife, and these are the two steels the maker said he prefers to work with, so I was wondering which one you guys would go with for a general purpose outdoor knife?

Both make a fine blade. It is up to you and the design of the knife. Will it be a large camp style knife? or a hunter style?

O-1 will tarnish faster than A-2 other than that there really is not much difference in the two.

Nick:)

They are both awesome IMO. I like o1, seemes to be my personal choice, but a2 is a great one too.

It's actually not Scott. This is a guy who lives about 20 minutes from me, named Randy Hicks. I saw a knife that he made, and I was blown away. So, I went to check out his shop and was more blown away. He's got some serious skill, and uses quality material. Once I get the knife in hand, I'll put up some pictures for you guys to see.
