I'm looking for someone to heat treat a couple of A2 steel blades. They will be about 4in. long and 1/8in thick. If any one has a good place to send them please let me know. I'm in Ohio over by Dayton.

Thanks
Steve

Texas Knifemakers Supply in Houston,Tx or Peters In Pa. unless you can find a local maker to help you out.

You can get a quote from Peter's by filling out a form online. I just did that and it only took a couple days for them to get back to me. Their rates/turn-around time seem pretty reasonable, and I've heard a lot of good things about their work from experienced makers here.

How soon do you need them done?

There will be an ABS show at the Miami County fairgrounds in August hosted by the Southern Ohio Forge and Anvil club, and I am sure that you could get some input from makers there on whether or not you could get it done locally.

Southern Ohio Forge and Anvil

Feel free to E-mail me if you need more info on the show, or SOFA, or perhaps coming up to Troy for one of the open forge nights.

I'll give Paul Bos A try.
What's the Rockwell hardness for A2, it would be for a small 4in. hunter. I have never worked with A2. It was sent to be last year form Flatground instead of 01, which is what I use, that and 1095
