A572 steel?

I saw a guy who sells thowing tomahawks that he makes with this steel. How good is this steel for that application? I have never heard of it before. I fugured you makers could best answer this, if it should be moved someplace else than please do.

Looks to be a low carbon .21-.23% alloy. nothing I'd use.
