AA light

I have a Lumintop Tool AA and an Olight S1A (I prefer the Olight mostly because I really like the UI). Both of those are compatible with Li-ion 14500 cells as well as AAs.
Stay away from Alkalines (aka Alkaleaks) in anything expensive. I like the Energizer Ultimate Lithiums for long term storage/emergency use. NiMH and rechargeable Li-ion cells are better for EDC.
There are a couple of 14500 batteries out there with on-board micro USB charging; Nitecore NL1475R & Klarus 14500UR75.

4Sevens has really nice lights. Between them and Fenix, I have the majority of my light needs covered other than the Large Maglites I use.

SureFire are nice lights but, they priced themselves out of my household. The C-cell and D-cell LED Maglites aren't bad FWIW however, the Fenix and 4Sevens lights are what I always have on me these days.

I love the older SS AA model of the Maratac before they went to the Nichia LEDs. I have a few AA and AAA Maratacs. Really like the AAA and AA lights as I can get Energizer lithium batteries for them.

SC5c2

I have the SC52w L2- it bumped out all my other EDC lights. I use 14500 Li rechargable.

I too have the Fenix lights. I got my first AAA one that has 5 modes about 10-12 years ago. I carry it in my pocket daily and have never had a problem with it. I now have a single AA and a 2xAA Fenix and love them both.
I'll never carry anything that requires a battery that can't be purchased at common locations.

Klaus Mi7 great light

I had forgotten about the Mi7, and appreciate you posting this. Just ordered the Ti version and a new 14500 cell to add to the rotation. The new Klarus XT1A boasts 1000 lumens from a single 14500 cell - amazing. Was more interested in the Mi7 for the side clicky - 700 lumens is plenty of light and the 5 lumens low on both lithium and eneloop is helpful as well.

Here's a few other options, not all domestic OP, depending on your budget and preference. My EDC is the Eagtac D25A Ti from 2015.

Zebralight makes high quality stuff and is always pushing the envelope of lumens and runtime from a given battery.

Yep. I have a standard AA, and a right angle configuration AA, each with 3 output levels. The right angle came with an elastic head strap, and is worn on my hardhat at work.

I am sick of the alkaline batteries leaking and ruining good flashlights. I'd stick with the CR123's or 18650's. Much better cold weather performance and longer useful lifespan. And try getting a "guarantee" out of Duracell when their batteries leak. Not easy.

This is why I run eneloops in my, no leaking and rechargeable.

I like the looks of the Maratacs. Thanks for the recommendation.

As far as a light. Lumintop AA is a fantastic light. Check it out

Thanks.
To misquote Julius Caesar, "Veni Vidi Emi."
I came. I saw. I bought.

I've been using lithium AAs for a few years now. Leaking alkaline batteries ruined too much stuff in the years before the lithium batteries became available.

Can’t go wrong with the Zebralight either. I’ve been using an SC5 for quite some time as well.

As far as batteries, I pretty much stick to Eneloop pros. Love them. And they seem to last forever
