Guys, I need help, My girlfriend and I are moving to Nova scotia, And luckily there is a moving truck coming this far north TODAY!
But, what I need is some advice, what do you guys think I should send back, or what I should keep?

Right now, Im thinking of keeping my masterhunter, bk7 and wetterlings axe. and sending back everything else.

what do you guys think, send everything back, or keep it here?

If you have the room and the knife numbers aren't staggering bring them all with you.
If you can't, pick the ones you can't live without and send the rest on.

Good luck on the move.
Helle

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you selling off/returning the other knives?

sending them to nova scotia.

Im not going untill the end of the summer, but have a chance to send alot now, for a really low price.

I don't see a slip joint, SAK, or folder in there. I would keep a folder, or a multi tool with the rest for sure.

Ooohhhhhh! Now I understand. In that case, I reckon your first post is the right idea. Those three should serve you quite well until you're reunited with the others. EDIT: plus a multi and a folder like tarmix101 said. (how could I forget those?!?)

thats true, sak huntsman, and leatherman wave. :D

This also includes alot of hunting gear, and gear in general, I wont get alot of time to do any before I go, so Im thinking if I've got the chance, I should take it.

yeah, a multi-tool and/or SAK, a medium-sized fixed blade and an axe - send the rest on, you'll have a happy reunion in a few months!

This is a survival question in my mind: what could I survive with if I were never reunited with the rest of my knives. So I say bare minimum gotta keep 4: one big, one medium, one little/folder and a multitool/SAK.

Thats what im thinking, Im keeping my "bob"(of course) which incedntly is my camping pack, and has my axe in it and my belt psk. Then my BK7, masterhunter, sak and wave.

Ill be sending back:
Buck 192
Buck 110
Ka-bar 8"tanto
Canadian bayonet
Various folders
Grohman #4,and skinner
Sog hunter revolver
CS riflemans hawk
A few homemades
gerber, and grande fathers hatchet
Hunting pants, gloves ect.
And a few various others

Keep your faves you need, send the rest on ahead, and plan on buying a new knife with all the money you will save with the brilliant idea! :D Besides the old saying is true what you heard that absence makes the heart grow fonder. It will be like buying the knives all over again, only better.

I know it soudns kinda funny, but man, I like all of them. Iin the long run, sending these, my cabniets, and alot of other things can save me over a $1000, so why not right?

Heck yeah, saving $1000 is definitely a no-brainer. My whole knife collection is under $1000, look at it that way!

I wish I could say the same, though I dont think my knives were worth that much, its just from buying in canada.

I mean, you guys can get a 110 for what, $20? My girlfriend payed 54.99 at wallys, and that was cheap, I hate canada for its prices.

Please don't let my wife see your post!
bwahahaha.... sorry man!

Just curious Fonly, what's the minimum wage up there? Or the exchange rate for US-to-Canadian? My pops used to go up to Thunder Bay fishing and he claimed it wasn't really that much more expensive, it just seemed that way. Mind you that was 20 years ago.

Minumum wage is $10 an hour. which is good, and $1 american dollar is $1.10 candian. So, its really not that bad, its actually cheaper to buy some knives in the states and get them sent here, but then you run the risk of border cost, and wether ot not they will let it in. Its just alot of things are more expensive because stores know people dont want to buy from the states and get things shipped, so they charge outragous prices, and usually get them. Once and a while you'll find a place with good price, but they dont stay in business long.

Fonly, what can a person legally bring across the border. If you visit US or an American visits Canada can they bring knives with them, if they are driving? How about flying? Maybe you should go into business middlemanning knives to Canadians.
