ABA or BOSS Street?

Which Busse knife would you keep if you could keep only one of the following?

I prefer the Boss Street. The blades seem very similar but I would rather have full flat then saber.
 
The ABA, because I already have one.:D

Seriously, for this size knife I would unhesitatingly go with the thinner ABA.
 
Personally I can't think of a reason NOT to get a Boss Street. ;) :D

ABA is my favorite Busse, back when I didn't know you can't buy just any Busse at its original price out of all the knives I choose the ABA or the BAIII.
 
ABA - more belly, lighter.

BOSS - better handle. . . FAR better handle, FAR FAR FAR cheaper right now. Perhaps a factor of 2.5 or more. More compact. (BA3 handle is good for a SJ. Bad for an ABA. Fixed reasonably well for the PD, et al.)

Gimme a BOSS.
 
ABA blade, BOSS handle. So I picked the BOSS, because the ergos of a knife truly are the highest priority in my book.

But the BAIII blade is way cool. I'd like to see it on a different handle for sure.

IMO no company has, or may not never make a knife that compares to the .150 ABA.


Make the BOSS .150 to .170 and it would be one heck of a knife, but still no ABA.
The ABA handle is the best I have ever held, and has the best blade shape I've seen in my 30+ years of buying knives.
 
Still got 1 ABA, will soon have a Boss Street & let you know for sure. But...the ABAs have long been my favorite small Busses.

Honestly, I am a bit surprised as well. I always hope that Skunk or one of the crew will chime in on these things because I'm sure they have handled more than their fair share and can probably lend some insight for those of us who don't have both blades. In my case, I'm missing the BOSS Street.

Please DO let us know your thoughts. I too love my ABA, and hence the Paul Long sheath. :thumbup:

Then there would be no contest. BOSS would win hands down.


As for my vote I am on the fence along with most everybody here.


I still have my fingers crossed that an LE version of the BOSS will be released that is .15 to .17 thin!

I would say if Busse truly listens to the customer then this will happen some time, heck we got the BWM.:cool:
