Abalone as an EDC?

How well does abalone hold up as an EDC? I am looking for somehting different as an EDC and have come across a red abalone Canal Street lock back. I work in an office environment so my knives never see hard use. Mostly just opening packages. Will this hold up carrying it in my pocket everyday?

Canal Street makes a solid knife so I doubt that you would have any issues with their products, especially with basic office use.

I carry my Queen #46 abalone to work quite a bit (office environment). Just another option to look at as it is a bit smaller and what I would call more "office friendly" as opposed to a lockback. The Pinch is a great knife though, I've got one in some killer stag. Here's a pic of the Queen, it's got a wharncliff and a small pen blade.

I have heard good things about Canal Street and this would be my first. I do like that Queen though ndeezl. I will have to check it out.
