I was wondering what Jerry thinks about maybe doing a Battle Mistress in the same Handle and blade configuration with say a 9 or 10 inch blade? I really love the handle on the ASH and with its thickness and blade shape it would make a great knife at 8+ inches as well. So what do you all say?
 
Wouldn't that be a SHBM? I'd be all for a run of those. .32" thick, and doublecut. Mmmm. Tasty.

The drop point version of this would be like the FBM Protos from Knob Creek.
 
Jerry said that the 25th anniversary blade would be a model that he'd never make again. I think this it's a subtle hint that no one requested him to make a SHBM so we can see them again! ;) :)
 
I don't think you'll see a run of SHBMs any time soon, if ever. Maybe as an anniversary knife some day like the ASH-1.

Possibly a few customs at Blade, but then you'd have to kill Cobalt to get one, or like last year tell him that Jerry wasn't selling knives until noon so he wasn't out of bed yet when the SHBMs came out.:thumbup: :D

DANG ok.....so now that I am in love with the ASH-1 Handle. I have to have a SHBM, shouldnt be that hard should it;)

That is a slippery slope :eek: :eek: :eek:!!!

Then you'll "need":

Old smooth micarta MS
SHBA
BBSHSH
SHSHII
SHBM 1-300
Other SHBMs

And you need most with slotted screw, smooth bolt and tube fasteners, so put aside about $12-15,000. :foot:

I'd love to have an ABM-1! (or three) :thumbup:

I'll take one in 0.32", another in 0.1875" and the last in 0.42". :eek: All with Mag canvas handles in the same shape and size found on the ASH-1.

Randucci THE TOP ONE THE TOP ONE. THE ALL BLACK TOP ONE!!!!! Awww man how did I not notice that one before. How many were made? Whats it called? BBSHSH? Thats what I want.

I guess I found the knife worth contacting the Custom Shop about.

There were only about (6) made, I only know where (3) are. Jerry calls them a Battle Mistress prototype or bascially a concept knife to see what it would feel like, they were all custom hand ground knives. If I remember, it is around .220" thick.

Hmmmm so i guess that means I wont be getting one. Which is ok, how does it compare to like a CGFBM or a BM-E?

Well, I would love to use it, but it is currently in new/unused condition and is too valuable to me to whack on it. It does feel great in the hand though! :D
