about 12 of these guys came out of hiding after Thanksgiving and were at my feeder..

At our lake house we have deer, turkey, 'coons...if I'll get up a little early I see the deer leaving the lake and the turkey poking and bobbing through the brush. They startle easily up there since there is a considerable amount of hunting done on larger tracts around there.

Gotta love that Wild Turkey!

My Rafter of Turkeys is coming every day now...I am part of their morning rounds. I bought a large Chicken Feeder yesterday and filled it with Shell Corn...they seem to like it..

Leave it to you Ren to find a ghey turkey in your back yard. :p

Hard to tell really. If there's a stub of a beard, he might be a jake (young male), but I can't see it in the photos.

I've heard of the rare bearded hen, but not of a beardless tom. I guess anything is possible though. Does the big one have spurs on his legs? For a jake, they would not be very big or very sharp, but they should be there.

Could just be the dominant hen. Great pictures either way.

Ren, note the big ass beard sticking off the chest of this one. That's the mark of a mature tom.

Now you've got them (and they've got you) for the winter. ;)

I wonder how much the feed bill will total by Spring

Of course, in return, they could reduce your grocery bill
