Thanks for that information - most useful. Can you tell me why BG42 was chosen and would you suggest an alternative? BG42 is very hard to get here! Also was there any evidence of the blades snapping/breaking at that level of hardness?
BG-42 maxes out at a high hardness for stainless, most go 58-62, S90V can get up to 63+ as well. Yes, the blades are very brittle at that hardness, almost no plastic deformation ability.
