About sharpmaker and differents steels

Hi: I usually use my sharpmaker to get an excellent edge of my knives, but most of them are 8Cr13MoV, AUS8, 13C26 or 440C steels. Now I´m thinking of using my Native II S30V. Does it took long to get S30V back to razor shaving edge? Will I be spending all day on the sharpmaker when I get my Military in S90V? Do I need to buy the Diamond coated rods?
 
How dull is it? if the edge is extremely dull, you could spend a while on the medium stones, if it still cuts paper decently, you'lll be fine.
