Had a great time at the Blade Show and made some comments in an earlier thread about what I saw. Something there caught my eye and I wondered if anyone knows what I am referencing here.
I was at John Fitch's table...he was in a relatively deep conversation with someone else and I did not want to interrupt...and saw beautiful stag handled knife. The stag however looked different than anything I had seen before...it had a satin, non-reflective, finish over the whole handle and it looked like it was coated in something. Almost like someone had sprayed it down with a satin finish polyurathane or epoxy or something like that...
It looked great. It was not a built up finish...not thick, but you could tell it was way different than what I had seen before. I don't remember seeing a handle like that at anyone else's table and was just wondering.....anyone got any ideas?
Sure looked classy...
