About TOPS knives

I can't tell you why they aren't discussed much on the forums but I can tell you they sell quite well.

They sure look pricy, and i can not give myself an excuse why i should spend this money on a TOPS knife.

I would like to try Pasayten in 154CM. I think the design is spot on if its not a thick knife...5/32" would work. If I didn't like the sheath I would be willing to get a custom sheath made for it so I could enjoy it.-----Joe

I know this is an old thread but I couldn't resist. I love my Tops Black Rhino. I've used it for a year now and it has been great. I did grind off that pry bar on the back of the handle, thin the edge a little and sand down the grips to fit my hand. Now it's great. A few weeks ago I chopped down a 5 or 6" cedar blocking my blind. Wish I had an axe but it still only took a few minutes. Gave it a few quick swipes with a fine ceramic rod and it was back to hair popping sharp. Right after that I used it to easily process a deer. I actually had my Benchmade Bone Collector folder with me for that but kept going back to the Tops. My favorite thing about the knife is the handle. Their Micarta is great. It feels grippier when wet or bloody. The blade is a little thick, my next one will be 3/16" instead of 1/4". I love the kydex sheath, really holds the knife well. I do with the clip were reversible though. For being a chopper it would be nice to have some finger grooves and a curved handle. My brother's Tracker is much reasier to swing and hold on to. I paid a little less than retail and feel it was worth it. I would absolutely buy another. I highly reccomend them. Everyone should have at least one indestructable knife.
