Hope this is the right place to post this. We are having a ABS intro to bladesmithing course here in North Carolina Oct. 6 thru Oct. 17. Greg Neeley is scheduled to teach the first week with Joe Keeslar to teach the second week. We had a couple guys drop out (they have to go to Texas and work after Ike) and we have a couple open spots. It will be held at Haywood Community College, where we had the hammerin last fall. If anyone needs more info, message me here and I will get back to you. The cost is 850.

Darn it, I already have those weeks scheduled to replace all the windows and siding on my house.
My wife would straight kill me if I put that off again.

any chance of them holding this class again this year or early next year?

I would much rather drive to NC than Texarkana......

The plan is to offer the class again sometime after the first of the year. And if things go well, maybe handles and gaurds as well as damascus. Bill

I would be interested in handles and gaurds. I already attended Intro to bladesmithing..

Bill,

I think that anyone from your area who was thinking of taking the ABS Intro to Bladesmithing course should take it in Clyde. I think that the facilites at Haywood College are at least as good, if not better than Old Washington, AR. Are you planning on assisting one of the Mastersmiths teaching the course?

Hi Jim,

Sneaky is the official helper for week one. I will be around when work allows. We are going to have a good time!!

Bill,

It sounds like this will be an ongoing addition at Haywood. If so I hope there will be another Intro class next fall. Family problems have eaten all my vacation until next June. Thanks for bringing to light that some ABS classes are being offered closer to the East Coast.

I am here on Fort Bragg, NC and would love to take a class in NC. Unfortunatly my schedule is always planned 8 weeks out. I hope that the next class date comes out soon, so that I can schedule leave for that class well in advance. Thanks.

Thanks for the interest. We are working on the schedule now. As quick as we get things worked out for future classes, I will post them here. We will be having the second annual Great Smoky hammerin here March 5-7. Thanks again, Bill
