Hope all you guys know about the ABS hammer-in comming up July 17-19 at the New England School of Metalsmithing.
Should be an awsome time! They have a state of the art facility...and I'll be working the green coal teaching folks how to forge blades most of the weekend!:thumbup:

If I survive IG's this weekend, if Dad will loan me his jeep again, if Grammie (my Mom) is up for another round of my rascal of an seven year old son while I'm gone, if I have enough money left for the drive and a room....I'll be there!

Unfortunately I'm going to miss it =( I've got a prior commitment that weekend doing a blacksmithing demo at the glasgowlands scottish festival in central MA
 
I am planning on being there. I sent the ABS my check almost three weeks ago and they still haven't cashed it.

Don't worry Joe, I tried to join a year and a half ago, sent them the money and they haven't cashed mine either. I finally gave up. :)
 
So am I. Now that I have a forge I'm hoping to get over to green coal and have you show me the worst things I'm doing wrong.
 
Please bring your cutters with you!!! There will be a "cutting demo" and I want to get as many of you up there as I can!:thumbup:

Unfortunately my cutter died in heat treat. I found I was getting the forge up over 2000 degrees and causing lots of surface cracks. Right now I'm trying to finish the few that survived heat treat, including the new cable knife.
