Don't really have time for good pictures so I ghetto rigged it with white paper and a lamp. Really deserves my light box.

Opens like a well oiled machine, absolutely perfect knife. Perfect sharpness up to the tip, perfect lock up. I will say I like it quite a bit more than the Sebenza, but now its making me consider a new one.

AHHHHHHHHH.....................You're killing me!
I'm waiting for the UPS guy with mine now.

It's a great knife, I know you'll enjoy it. Now you've got to go and get that first scratch on the finish!

Agreed,It is a great knife.I'm looking to get a tanto one soon.

I told you, Dude :) It may very well be the consumate EDC. It is certainly one of them from what's available today. A top notch folding knife to say the least!

I'm carrying mine today ;)

I used a scotch brite pad on my Zaan after I got a few scratches on mine.

I think it looks much better scotch brited....it doesn't look so pristine. The Zaan is

ment to be Used :D;) Enjoy your Zaan. It's a Fantastic knife. You'll like it even more once it's broken in after a couple weeks or so. I broke my in by opening/closing it hundreds of times.

I love these knives. As said, very smooth and near perfect overall. I've been lusting after a large Sebenza with micarta inserts for the past 6 months or so. Always happens that I find one when I have zero fun money, or have the money and can't find one anywhere! I may just end up going with a Zaan, didn't like the blade style at first, but it's growing on me the more I see and handle them...

I have to say the Zaan is clearly my favorite blade, i wouldn't mind seeing a scotch brite one, to see how it looks. enjoy your new treasure!!

Freedom came fast for you my friend! :D

Haha, free, that's good :)

10 minutes after I got my Umnumzaan I took my keys and put a big scratch down the side so I wouldn't have to worry about it. Of course, this is from a guy that takes new shoes and throws them in the mud for the same reason... ;)

That's the definition of Cold Turkey! ;)

Just s30v with a good heat treat. Is it my favorite steel? Nope. Is it run at IMO optimal hardness? Nope.

What it is though is a knife that's absolutely perfectly made in every way with a good steel and a good heat treat.

Yea baby, Zaan all the way. Felt the way you described when I pick up my first Sebenza not to long ago, but when I got the Zaan in my hand, oh boy! Still a lot of love my Sebenza's but the Zaan is the one I am carrying. Good choice, :).
