Funny how people get upset if something is posted in the wrong section. Who cares!!!!

This should probably not be in General Knife Discussion.

Why not? Its a neat pic of member's kid who seems to think knives are cool. Its EXACTLY the kind of thingd that should be here. What's your damage?

Thanks for the pic eafisher...I love the stripe theme!

It's common with people new to a forum to look at something that other people on the forum have gotten upset about and then follow suit. Gives them a sense of comradery with .. Anyone who will take them.

What I see in that pic is a child who has been taught the value of knives, rather than taught to fear knives. I see a child who possesses an exuberant appreciation and interest in knives, rather than seeing them as evil implements of death and destruction. What we see in that pic is the future of this "hobby" that we enjoy, the next generation of knife owners. In a country where so many kids are raised to fear knives and never get the chance to handle them and learn about their true value, I think that picture should be celebrated here.

Here you go.................... (I made sure to post a photo with knife content...........)

Speaking of children and knives, my 10 yr old daughter has an infatuation with mine. Do you think she's too young to receive a knife for Christmas? I'm not sure how to teach her responsible handling etc

Its all good brother!!
Here's a PIC of his knives, his 5th birthday was last week and his special present from only daddy was a fully serrated dragonfly. He loves it!! One of my favorite things is a few weeks ago in his sleep he said "Spyderco". When I'm not around the knives get put up, he does have respect for them as much as a 5 year old can. On top of all that anytime I happen to leave a blade laying around he won't open it and he'll bring it to me or his mom. EVERY time

My 10yo daughter also likes my knives. Got her a pink RAT 2 and she loves it. Great fit for her hand size. I only have 2 rules for her:

#1 - You can only use your knives with me.
#2 - If it leaves the house it only leaves with me.

Awesome:thumbup: I get the feeling a lot of our kids will be following in our hobby:)
