Thanks for the Academy info.! I picked one up at lunch, and for those interested in the Dallas area, the Academy at central and forest has pleanty stocked and two cases of over stock above the shelves.

I bought three at Walmart at the price-matched price of $21.43. Don't think it's worth the trouble to fool with returns, repurchases to save $3 per knife. At Walmart, it was invaluable to

(1) BE ABLE TO ACTUALLY OPEN A BOX AND PICK THE BEST KNIVES rather than wonder what the other side of the knife looked like (clam pack).

(2) Get the nylon sheath, which I prefer

I just wish I had waited a few days and taken the $18.63 sale flyer to Walmart. Great deal there.
 
With all the deals on 110's this fall I would have to say that the elves in Post Falls have been very busy this year.:)

I bought 6 from Academy at the $21.43 Price just a few days ago. Just came from there and they refunded me the difference in the new sale price of $18.63. Was nearly worth the price of a whole knife.
 
LFH, Academy did the same for the one I bought there. Oddly enough, Walmart also retroactively price-matched the $18.63 price on the two I bought there. So I wound up paying the "new-and-improved-even-lower" sale price on all three knives and didn't have to return a thing.

chickentrax, thanks for posting that flyer in a couple of the threads here. You saved me about $10.

I really wish there was an Academy Sports in my neck of the woods. I'd snatch up a few at least.

I'll just have to wait and see if the WalMart 110s are around to go on sale after Christmas.

Good Deal Guyon, I was so happy to get the refund that I ordered a Hell Razor.... OOPS Wrong Forum :foot: :D
 
Last day on that Academy $18.63 deal. I went by and bought one more. Sticking some back for blade swaps. At some point, I'm going to send one in for some damascus.

You guys that have Academy Sports shops near you should be out there cleaning the shelves out!!! We up here in Occupied Canada [mucho snow] would rush to the stores to scoop these boogers up!!! Blade swaps; swaps for other knives; sell on eBay after the price goes back up; cheap experiments; basis of a custom from Leroy...the list is endless... :D
