I just received a bunch of leather slip cases from an awesome leatherworker in Nevada... I'll be carrying my slipjoints in style!

I found these William Henry pouches on that e-bay thingy for 7.00 apiece, the large will hold my #11 Scagel. Between the two I can fit most of my med to small slippies.

Shown before, but I still like it and carry it.

Those William Henry cases are nice indeed.

I have one of those Ron Ryder/ Backroom Leather cases for my Canittler- it's simple and nice. Great quality.

The leather slips by Ron Ryder are a great value. I must have a dozen by now, all in various sizes.

Please stay tuned for this public service announcement...

Excuse me, did someone say "accessorizing"? OR was that "knife purse" I heard?:D To quote a great fictional American, "Holy CRAP!!!" (Frank Berone)

In the military, they would tell some poor slob that was going to get married, "If we wanted you to have a wife, we would have issued you one". Well....if man had intended for pocket knives to be carried in purses he wouldn't have invented pockets.

Just say no! It doesn't have to be this way. If you need help, reach out to your brothers who have been where you are (NOT ME!) and together, we can make a difference.

...we now continue with our regularly scheduled program. :D

(for the uninitiated, search "knife purse" for some hilarious reading)

Kerry, you better not let the person at Camp Bop see this thread. They are the one that shamed me into carrying my Fong around in Long.:p

A "Fong in a Long". Well, you have an excuse because, let's face it, that just sounds right(and kinda naughty).

I had been looking for and wondering about the value of something like these "purses" for the reason that I have seen knives fall out of pockets, eg. when seated in the car. Do these little pouches help with that?

I guess the other advantage I would imagine is that it would keep the dust, dirt and other pocket debris off the knife.

But I admit I am partial to seeing the knife in its unprotected state.

YES YES! More inspirational words have never been written. You have hit upon something deep and profound.

The pocket knife - an endangered species. Let us enjoy them in their unprotected state. :D

They do help with keeping knife from falling out of your pocket.

No reason to not do both, My Tony Bose peanut is in my pocket, My Long rides on my belt or I can put it inside jeans pocket with only the clip showing. My Alsdorf rides in a pocket sheath in the other pocket.
Just my .02.

What the heck is a liner lock doing here :D.

Jason, you must work for the department of redundancy department. ;)

Confession time:

The worst part is I know the knife's origin and have one like it.:p

Or...the Not Paying Attention department. :) I left my house this morning without my security badge or my cell phone. Quoting the wrong post just makes sense to me today.

To stay on topic....I have several of the Ron Ryder pouches and love them. For me, protecting the knife is secondary to preventing anything clanking around in my pocket...something which annoys me to no end.
