Accessorizing my knives with slip cases

Confession time:

The worst part is I know the knife's origin and have one like it.:p
Ok, I confess the Long is a Liner Lock. But the Tony Bose Peanut I carry in pocket and the Mike Alsdorf I carry in leather slip are slippies, Can I ever be forgiven?

.....For me, protecting the knife is secondary to preventing anything clanking around in my pocket...something which annoys me to no end.

I understand some guys don't like big things clankin around inside their pants but that never bothered me. :D

Funny thing is...I took a shot knowing I was left WIIIIIDE open. See, I can take it as well as I can dish it out! ;) But since this is a family oriented venue, send me:) PM.

I found another way of saying about the same thing. Scroll up one reply. :p

Putting some fishline on your knife purse so it can hang in your pocket from your belt negates any pinky points. Especially if it's 50lb test. 300$s

I just received a bunch of leather slip cases from an awesome leatherworker in Nevada... I'll be carrying my slipjoints in style!

Link? I've been looking for something like these! Thks.

I see he credits Blues for helping him test the backpocket sheath design.:D

Actually, the idea for those was mine and Ron made them upon my request but I never knew he had posted the info on his site until I heard about it here a few months back.
(He had previously asked for permission to use my images.)

Ron's a great guy to deal with and I'm sure anyone ordering his leatherwork will be pleased.

If anybody orders Ron's slipcases, and cares about dimensions, I've had luck fitting the following knives in the following case sizes:

Small case: Buck 55, Schrade (USA) 33OT, Colonial (Providence, RI) peanut, various tiny Laguioles

Medium case: Barlows (RR, Boker, Schrade Imperial), large (4"-ish closed) stockman

Large: Buck 422 Bucklite (snug fit, though), large (10cm/11cm) Laguiole, Case slimline trapper

(Never tried Ron's XL case)

My other concern when contemplating a nicer sheath had to do with creating a target for thieves and pick-pockets or inviting unwanted searches. I've found that I attract far less interest in what I am carrying if the covering looks like it wouldn't have anything worthwhile inside. This concept also seems to hold true for security screenings.

I imagine that this depends on where you live, work, travel, and by what means.
