I only cut myself twice this summer, and only 1 was anything to look at, if you practice good knife handling then cutting yourself shouldnt really be a problem, best solution, dont rub the blade against yourself, test sharpness by push cutting paper away from you, and cutting away from you in general. Keeping your knife sharp is also very important, dull knives can sometimes be unpredictable.
My worst cut was this summer when i wasnt paying attention wehn resheathing my yard dog and caught my thumb it was ugly and i was in the middle of nowhere so just controlled the bleeding till the next day. Always happens when you get careless
