Accidently washed my Large Regular....

I was gonna make a new thread today, JUST on this topic! Strange.. Anyway, I have a rock tumbler, and I plan to stonewash mine as well. I just wanted to know what exactly you used as far as rocks? Just gravel from the driveway, or what? You just mentioned "nice stones", so I wasn't sure.. I'm very interested!!

I just used some stones my girlfriend had for planters I think. They were about as big as ummm... a testicle!! hahaha I tried to stay away from ones that had super jagged edges and stayed away from ones that were totally glassy smooth. Size wise tho, small enough to throw about 20 in there, but not too small that they go in-between the scales.
Which actually didn't matter for me because in the wash the scales came apart and I ended up stonewashing the insides too... lol No worries though, knife functions PERFECTLY!! I almost wanna say even smoother than before. And I even still have that beautiful 20% lockup!

Honestly though, I think any smaller size stones would work just fine. Rinse em off first and GO!! Worst case scenario, you get the handles blasted again and it's like you never did anything.

Very Nice Job, Gotta love those old regulars......The finest folder ever made......!!!!!

One of the best stonewash jobs I have seen to date. I am curious on the stones you used also as I was thinking about trying round ones the size of well yeah.......testicles :o Wondering how a rounder rock would do against the Ti.

These are the EXACT stones (exact amount too) that I used to stonewash the handles. According to my girlfriend, they're river rock that were bought at Michael's. I picked the rougher ones and a few smooth ones, along with the right sizes..
Like I said, put them in a bottle, sprayed in a bunch of WD40 and threw it in the dryer for about 25 minutes... (make sure to tape bottle shut, if it would come open in the dryer you'd have a hell of a mess on your hands.. haha
