Build thread for the Gamblers Bowies.
The 6 1/2" rough ground.
This will be a fun one to watch! (from the sidelines this time...)
DIBS! (if appropriate at this time...if not, sorry)
Oh, this is going to be a fun watch.
That blade shape is spectacular
We're gonna need some westernin in this thread.
That blade sure is lookin' purdy.
Small, medium, and large, just like The Three Amigos. But not quite a plethora
"Would you say there is a plethora?"
Damn, couldn't edit in time
These have serious potential I think. The rounded spine and ounded area under the ricasso really set it off. I'm thinking a full suit down the spin will be a nice touch.
I wish I could post IG story in here.
Just went and found it. Interesting to see the different nuances when you move the blade around.
I dig it, this is going to be an awesome build thread.
Hanging back with the Phreak, watching from afar...
A photo of our group at the murder-mystery weekend where my wife and I met back in '94. Took place at the historic St. James Hotel in Cimarron, NM. Many famous western types stayed here back in the day. I got to stay in the Annie Oakley room, #9, one of the only rooms with an attached bathroom (still have the leather key fob somewhere... ).
I'm in the black suit with fancy vest, my wife is in the light purple dress with white boots.
ETA - Found the key fob in the back of my nightstand drawer...
The guard is Nickel Silver, the handle is Blackwood, any suggestions for the ferrule? Omit? Wrought Iron? More Nickel Silver? The plan is a grooved single piece.
