Achieved my grail today!

Congratulations, coll looking blade,
I,m always glad when someone gets the knife, gun ,whatever that they've long for.

That knife is very good looking and I would love to have one, and would have one, if not for the clip. I understand the placement because a portion of it acts as the lockbar over extender. Great looker anyway.

I read the other thread about the lockbar stickiness and agree with several others, this thread and that thread. The material removed, as mentioned in the other thread, is microscopic. You will not see pieces of titanium falling off! At a certain point it will stop as more of the titanium makes contact with the steel of the blade tang. At this point it will move so slowly that it will be years before you can even tell, if at all. I say just go enjoy your new knife, and that awesome M4 blade!:)

I have a love/hate with the 760. I love the look and the ergonomics, but I have a couple gripes that keep me from carrying it.

First is that mine has horrible blade retention, it's basically non-existent, the detent ball just barely starts to engage the hole, sent it to BM and it was returned the same way. You could look at mine wrong and it would open, that was a deal killer but fixable. My second issue is I frequently have to work with both hands, and I will not carry a knife that I can't easily open with either hand. I've considered several times trying to find someone to drill out the detent hole, tap the handle for tip up, change to a dual thumb stud etc. but I never seem to get around to it.

It's weird because normally if a knife doesn't meet my needs to a very high degree I'll just get rid of it, but even though I won't carry the 760 in the condition it's in now, I can't seem to part with it. I love the regrind versions, I've thought several times about taking about 3/8" off the handle length and having it reground to a 3.5" drop point type profile.
