Congrats! I love the contrast between the piece of art damascus blade and the industrial/user look of the plain Ti handle. Maybe one day when I can afford it I will have my user Sebenza fitted with a damascus blade!

I like the plain handles MUCH more. In fact, I've never been partial to the CRK inlays. BEAUTIFUL folder you got there. She should serve you well for a very long time ;)

It's a very nice knife, there is no doubt about it.

One question : why does it have a hole in the middle of the handle at the back? What's that for? It's not for a lanyard as the blade would go past it I would think. I'm just wondering out loud...

Also, is it a smooth one handed open? Can you just flick it open with your thumb, or is it too stiff for that?

And finally, the Damascas blade is a standard option from the factory. See here .. http://www.chrisreeve.com/pricelistsebenza.htm

Congrats on the new knife. I love that raindrop damascus design - it's absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks for all the positive comments! It's definitely my pride and joy and I get to use it to boot!

Why did you choose a plain handle? Aesthetically, the blade is like a 10 but the handle is not. Did you want people's eyes to pop out when you open it up? Were you going for something incongruous? Or did you like the contrast of the plain blade against the embellished handle? (Pardon my curiosity, it is genuine.)

It actually came with a computer graphic, but I like the looks of plain titanium and the feel of it better, and I enjoy getting "use" marks on them and the fact that they are less reflective than the shinyer scales, especially when I'm out in the sun doing work.
So i swapped the front scales from my plain user large 21.

I really really like the way it turned out, the plain handles with the gorgeous Damascus really stands out, and the Raindrop pattern is my absolute favorite steel.

I'm thrilled!

I believe the hole is used in the manufacturing process as some sort of a "guide" to make it easier to achieve the tight tolerances

It is VERY smooth, I can flick it open with my thumb, its actually smoother than the s30v sebbies i've handled!

Heres a picture of the way it came. (purchased on The Exchange after getting referenced to the thread from someone seeing my ad in the Wanted section Thanks again!)

I couldn't do it...I'd have to leave that one in the gun safe and take it out and kiss it on Christmas only.....maybe Easter.

Nice blade!

I'm not big on 'benzas but good luck with it. It really is a beautiful knife. I wish you many years of happiness together.
