A lot of people are hesitant with eBay as was I. However I was directed towards Action-Concepts from the CRK manufacturer.

Good experience. Authentic product. Good communication. Free shipping on the current 31s. Only downside was the tax which isn’t their fault.

Yeah, I bought a large Inkosi from their store on Ebay last year. I have had very good experiences with all my Ebay purchases - better than many here have had through the Knife Exchange.

There is no shortage of dishonest people everywhere, but at east Ebay offers some of the best buyer protection out there.

I bought my first ever crk from them. Left handed small Sebenza 21.

My only nitpick is they don’t generally put the coa in their listing photos. Sometimes all you get is a generic photo of the knife.
One of the main things i’m looking for when buying a CRK is the birthdate.

I understand most dealers don’t do this either but the one time I messaged action concepts thru eBay, the person who responded had an attitude about providing that information.

Whatever, I still bought the knife.

Action-Concepts is local to me, although that doesn’t figure into my dealings with them. Those dealings include four Spartan SHF’s and a few Chris Reeve‘s. Never had an issue and always happy with their packaging, shipping speed and selection. Just my first hand experience. YMMV.

There’s several negative stories about them out there as a poster above referenced. They only refund 1/2 the price if returned apparently.

Last year, I bought a Mnandi through them. Bog oak and ladder Damascus.I bought it because they had listed the DOB on it. I suspect AC does what you mentioned on generic knives, ie PJ Sebenzas where you don’t need anything to differentiate it. I can see why you would want to know the DOB on a PJ or similar, for example if I have a son I’d like to get one made on his DOB so I can give it to him at a later date.

I purchased a CRK from them with no issues. Curious, too, as to the details of any partial refunds.

It’s a post on a FB page for reporting scams and bad deals. Someone bought and returned an Inkosi and they only refunded them half the amount. Several others saying they had the same experience with that dealer.

eBay would have given him a 100% refund if he was returning for a legitimate reason. Something wrong with that story. Any examples of those “several others” that have been mentioned?
Has someone here actually experienced their “1/2 price refund” or are we just talking hearsay evidence?

He disputed with EBay and they refunded him the rest. The good stories are just as much hearsay as the bad if that’s the way you want to look at it. This is just a heads up for folks that may be looking to buy a CRK from them. It’s something to keep in mind.

Feel free to look up the thread on Facebook; several people mentioned similar experiences.

A guy stating that it's "irrelevant" that he might have disassembled a knife before returning it is a huge red flag for me. Also, returning it because it was "too small"? Sounds like he should have bought a knife from Wal-Mart, so he could go be a tire-kicker over there. The full dimensions of almost all production knives are available these days, so to me, this looks like buyer's remorse. Spending $525 for a small knife, I get it. But still, dude should have done his homework first.

Edited to add: I have bought several knives from them over the years with zero issues.

Buyers remorse or not, when they state they give refunds and then don’t, that’s a potential issue.

The buying wasn’t the problem, it was the returning lol.

Well, the issue is, returning an item that has nothing wrong with it after you took a tool to what was once a new, unmolested item, and expecting your money back. Ebay sellers aren't Wal-Mart, and shouldn't be expected to be as such. Also, we don't know Action Concepts' side of this. The buyer could have returned the knife in a condition different to which they received it, after all. This is ultimately another internet story where we're hearing one side of things.

They certainly are not very personable when you try to talk to them about issues or products. Often one line responses and seem very robotic. Bought a few knives from them and they seem to be fine but another issue has them not communicating like a normal person and just copy and pasting information. Unhelpful.
