if it's gone through (sometimes takes a couple days), you do it yourself.

-go to your membership page (click on your name top right).
-bottom left of the page is 'permissions groups'. click on join groups
-identify yourself as a gold member.

if it's not an option to id yourself as a gold member, spark hasn't gotten to it yet. it will show up there eventually
