Skip the garbage customer service from sold steel and get the Demko.
No excuse for GSM lack of CS , but AD-10 can be bought at bargain prices and unlikely to need repairs with moderate use .

Demko stuff seems pretty pricey for what you get ,IMO .

AD10 vs Engage: that is a tough one for me.

The AD10 is one great folder that is on the big side. I don't care what anyone else does, I will not play games with my fingers by manipulating a large triad lock folder, or even a small one, closed with one hand.

The larger engage is a little smaller (and thinner?) than the AD10 and uses S35VN steel for the blade like the AD10.

The Engage is also available in smaller sizes, a tanto blade, and budget steels with lower prices. More choices and the locks should be solid. A tiny folder with a super tough lock impresses me too.

I like the looks of the engage. I hope they continue and improve upon it. When you get to locks like the triad lock, shark lock, and the "atlas" lock you have reached the point where the knife or the person holding it will break before the lock. I am very thankful to these people for giving the fingers or their customers due consideration by making sure their locking systems are not dangerous garbage. That speaks to me a lot.

In my opinion the newer Demko 3.V models are not too pricey considering the quality control and materials used. 3V is not an easy steel to heat treat and work. It's also very hard on machinery.

I think the German D2 is not bad either. It is also hard on machinery.
